About Us
Active Therapies is the longest established physiotherapy/osteopathy clinic in the Southern Highlands. Our concussion practitioner is Andrew Forbes. Andrew is an osteopath with more than 20 years of clinical experience in manual therapy and has had a special focus on vestibular problems and dizzyness for more than 4 years. It was a natural progression to focus more on concussion, as many concussion patients also have issues with dizzyness or other vestibular problems. Andrew is very excited to be part of the CCMI network, and looks forward to helping people in their health journey following concussion, and/or through offering baseline testing to ensure that workers or sports people who suffer a concussion can return to work, or their chosen sport, safely as soon as possible.

Andrew graduated from the London School of Osteopathy in 1995, and then achieved registration in Australia by passing the final year exams for the RMIT University Masters Course in Osteopathy in 1999. Andrew has been in private practice at Active Therapies as an Osteopath in Australia since 1999. He has also taught at WSU on the Osteopathy Masters Course from 2000-2006 as a lecturer, clinician and examiner. Andrew has been an Osteopath member-elected director on the board of Osteopathy Australia since 2015. Andrew's interest in concussion began as a special interest in vestibular conditions - especially dizzyness, and he founded The Dizzy Clinic in Bowral in 2017. After noticing that many of his dizzy patients had a history of concussion, Andrew has continued to develop his skills, culminating in becoming a certified CCMI practitioner in 2021. Andrew looks forward to assisting concussion patients to manage their recovery, and to offer baseline testing to workers and sports people to enable them to return to work. or sport, safely and quickly should they experience a concussion.
