Dr. Peyam Mojallal O.D. earned his Bachelor degree in Biology from Boston University. He then received his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the State University of New York in Manhattan, where he also completed specialty training in ocular disease. During his residency he gained much experience in low vision and rehabilitative services, in addition, to his experience in treatment and management of ocular diseases. He has given many lectures at various meetings and has published many articles regarding eye care. He has helped design and conduct experiments investigating glaucoma, the results of which have been presented at national meetings. In addition, Dr. Mojallal is an active member of the Virginia Optometric Society, Northern Virginia Optometric Society, the American Optometric Association, and NORA. Through his involvement with the Northern Virginia Fall Prevention Coalition, which he served, as Vice President, he developed and implemented the vision component of a community-based falls screening program. Dr. Mojallal also examines patients at his state of the art private practice in Ashburn, VA where he provides primary eye care, low vision and vision rehabilitative services. Dr. Mojallal has extensive experience with the evaluation and treatment of patients with concussion and other forms of traumatic brain injury.
