- Valerie Frazer.Neuro-OptometristDietary/Supplement Interventions/AdviceVision RehabBefore entering optometry school, Dr. Frazer received her BA in human physiology from Southern Illinois University with additional studies in the areas of psychology and literature. After graduating from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 2002, Dr. Frazer moved to Wisconsin and three years later, she achieved her board certification as a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (FCOVD) specializing in the areas of binocular vision, behavioral/functional vision, vision therapy, and neuro-optometric rehabilitation. Dr. Frazer served for two years as an adjunct faculty member for Illinois College of Optometry. She has served as treasurer of the Great Lakes Optometric Congress and currently serves as treasurer of the Vision Leads Foundation. She is a past president of the Milwaukee Optometric Society and has served as a Director on the board of the Wisconsin Optometric Association. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Wisconsin Optometric Association, College of Optometrist in Vision Development, Optometric Extension Program Foundation, and Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association. Dr. Frazer is a regular volunteer for the Special Olympics Lions Clubs International Opening Eyes Program. When not seeing patients, Dr. Frazer enjoys, spending time with her family, reading, camping, and other outdoor activities.
