Casey is originally from the foothills of the beautiful Berkshires in Western Massachusetts. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine from Westfield State College in 2009. She went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from American International College in 2012. She has worked in the Myrtle Beach area as a physical therapist for the last 13 years with the majority of her career in an outpatient setting treating a wide array of diagnoses including sports-related injuries, pediatric pathologies, orthopedic, post-surgical and neurological patients, vestibular dysfunction and balance and fall risk in patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics. Casey also has experience in settings including acute care, skilled nursing and aquatic rehab. In 2017, Casey and her husband Chris took a leap of faith by founding their private outpatient practice, Performance & Rehabilitation (PAR) Physical Therapy, which focuses on orthopedic rehabilitation and sport performance. Casey is excited to now offer an extensive concussion program to their list of services provided at PAR. Casey also has experience in higher education as she worked as a Professor and the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education at Horry Georgetown Technical College's Physical Therapist Assistant Program from 2020-2023. She now is an adjunct instructor in the Kinesiology department at Coastal Carolina University. Casey has a passion to educate the general public on "Flipping the Pyramid" or in other words; on using conservative treatment such as skilled and manual physical therapy prior to alternative interventions including harmful medications, expensive testing and possible unnecessary surgeries. She is also a strong advocate of physical therapy as the direct entry point for musculoskeletal disorders.
