Amber obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1992 from McMaster University followed by a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) degree in 1996, summa cum laude. During the past 20 years, Amber has worked in two hospitals; Stratford General and Henderson General (ICU) in Hamilton. She has also provided physiotherapy care to patients in the community, as well as working at private clinics. With her keen interest in women's health issues, Amber had the opportunity to consult at the new Maternity Centre in Hamilton, teaching women how to prepare for childbirth. Amber is also an authorizer with the Assistive Devices Program of Ontario. Through this government funded program, Amber can assess clients who require walkers. A stong believer in lifelong learning, Amber also completed certification in Medical Acupuncture in order to provide this service in her practice and has recently certified as a birth Doula.

Khizar is an internationally educated Physiotherapist who graduated in 2007 and completed his post-graduation in Physiotherapy. He has vast experience working in different hospitals and clinics. As a Physiotherapist he gained extensive experience in different clinical areas including Orthopedic, Vestibular, Neurological, Cardiac and Pediatric rehab. The patients at Waterdown Physiotherapy will benefit from all his past experience. By using different approaches, techniques and modalities, he helps patients to overcome injury/short-term health problems or manage long-term rehab. He is dedicated to his profession and a challenging Physiotherapist. He has been registered with College of Physiotherapists of Ontario since 2015. He didn’t stop his studies and continued with different courses including, Acupuncture, Dry needling, and currently he is following Manual Therapy Level programs under the Ortho division of Canada. Khizar has a pleasant personality with good communication skills. He believes in professional learning and loves to study and discuss new aspects in Physiotherapy. He loves being a member of the “Waterdown Physiotherapy Team”.
