    Karly Dagys (Physiotherapist & Owner): Karly brings a diverse background of skills and passion to the Groms team. She completed her Bachelor of Science in the United States as a member of a NCAA Division 1 Women’s Soccer Team and returned to Canada to complete her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University. Her experience includes working as a paediatric physiotherapist at BC Children’s Hospital, various pediatric-specific clinics in the city, as well as experience working with elite athletes competing on the International Stage. She has experience working with children with neurological disorders including Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophies, Autism-Spectrum and Sensory Processing Disorders, neurogenetic and rare disorders, congenital disorders as well as global developmental delay. She loves working with infants on achieving their gross motor milestones helping them build strong foundations for movement. Her deepest passion is helping kids from all backgrounds and abilities develop their passion for sports and movement. Having come from an athletic background herself, Karly understands the demands that sport places on the body and is very passionate about helping athletes participate in sports pain free, and helping kids understand why pain occurs and when it’s safe to keep going vs when it’s better to rest! Karly has attended a number of courses for professional development including: -Floor to Core - connecting foot mechanics to core control and pelvic floor function (2022) -Treating and Training The Female Athlete (2022) -Anatomy Trains in Structure and Function by Thomas Myers (Fascial Connections and Treatment Lines) (2018) -Complete Concussion Management™ Certification (2017-present): evidence-based course on multisystem, comprehensive, concussion assessment and management -Certified Acupuncture & Dry Needling/IMS Practitioner (2019) -Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) Beginner (2017) Intermediate (2018) certifications; postural reactions and facilitation of normal developmental movement patterns (paediatrics) -Currently spearheading a Toe Walking Treatment Protocol in Canada in collaboration with Hodgsons Orthotics and Playworks Physio, via Therapeutic Evaluation and Treatment of Toe Walking (Paediatric Equinus Gait), (2016) Effective examination, evaluation, and individualized treatment strategies for toe walking in the paediatric population. -Neurokinetic Therapy® (NKT) Level 1 course and certification: finding muscle compensation patterns and improving motor control and body awareness (2016). Outside of helping kids achieve their full physical potential, Karly can be found outdoors summiting mountains and then probably having more fun on the way down! She loves doing anything adventurous such as snowboarding, skiing, mountain biking, surfing, scuba diving, paddling and hiking. She also loves to travel; to experience various cultures, practice her photography skills, and try all sorts of yummy foods. Next time you’re in the clinic, ask her about her latest adventure!

    Janali attended Quest University for her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences with a focus on exercise physiology and sports psychology, and then completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Eastern Washington University. After starting her career in adult orthopedics, she decided to follow her passion to specialize in paediatric and pelvic floor physiotherapy. Janali has extensive experience working with kids in a variety of settings. She was a youth swim coach for 10 years, and throughout her schooling she volunteered with adaptive sports organizations to help make outdoor recreation more accessible to people of all ability levels. She loves working with kids of all ages, with a special focus on helping all kids reach their athletic goals. She also loves working with infants and helping parents learn how to best support their kids' development and give them a great foundation for life. She is also certified in pelvic floor physiotherapy in children and adults, with a special passion for pre- and post-natal care. She is excited to bring this experience to the Groms team to support both Groms AND MOMS. Janali has also been treating concussions for the past 2 years, with a focus on sports-related concussions. In her practice, Janali uses a mix of skilled manual therapy and targeted exercise prescription to help her patients achieve their goals. She believes strongly in evidence-based treatment approaches, and creates personalized recovery plans for every patient. Most of all, Janali believes that physiotherapy should be fun, no matter your age! Outside of the clinic, you can find Janali running, playing soccer, climbing, and exploring the lakes and mountains around Squamish. She also loves to bake, and will often spend a rainy Squamish day reading a book and eating cookies with her husband and their dog.
