A graduate of the University of Alberta, Kendra is known for her individualized, hands-on approach to treatment and her strong emphasis on patient education, therapeutic exercise, and proper movement technique. Her commitment to continuing education ensures she stays at the forefront of her field. Kendra has pursued extensive post-graduate training and certifications, including: Certified Complete Concussion Management Practitioner GLA:D™ Canada (Good Living with Osteoarthritis from Denmark) Certified Trainer Advanced Level 3 Manual Therapist Certified in GUNN IMS (Intramuscular Stimulation for chronic muscle and neuropathic pain) Chronic Pain Management (“Pain Made Easy”) Running Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation Spinal Stabilization Techniques Mackenzie Method Certification to refer for X-rays, ultrasounds, and MRIs Kendra has a special interest in preventative care and strengthening programs for osteoarthritis, as well as joint replacement rehabilitation. Since 2010, she has volunteered annually with Operation Esperanza in Ecuador, providing post-surgical rehabilitation for patients following hip and knee replacement surgeries. These experiences have deepened her passion for proactive and preventative health care in managing joint-related conditions. Based in St. Albert for over 25 years, Kendra has built deep roots in the community. Alongside her husband, she has raised four active children and has contributed extensively through volunteer work in sports and community health initiatives, including: Concussion baseline testing for local hockey, football, and soccer teams U of A Junior Pandas Soccer Program Edmonton Triathlon Academy & ITU International Triathlons Roar of the Rings Curling Championships St. Albert Road Races & Kids of Steel Triathlons Canadian Gymnastics Championships John Reid Memorial Hockey Tournament Sports Medicine Guest Lectures at Paul Kane High School Before becoming a physiotherapist, Kendra competed as a member of the Canadian National Alpine Ski Team. She raced on the World Cup circuit, participated in the World Championships (1989, 1992), and was an alternate for the 1988 Winter Olympic Games. She reached a career-high world ranking of 14th in 1991. Kendra also worked as a Strength Training Consultant for international athletes before transitioning into physiotherapy. As both a former elite athlete and a dedicated clinician, Kendra brings a unique perspective to patient care. She is especially passionate about women’s health, strength training, core stability, and functional exercise for return-to-work or return-to-sport programs. Kendra is enthusiastic about working with clients of all ages and activity levels. Her goal is to empower patients with the tools, knowledge, and confidence needed to recover from injury, prevent recurrence, and maintain long-term health.
