Her appreciation of the importance of quality of movement and function grew through previous injury while training for and competing at two Canada Winter Games as a member of the NS squash team. During her undergraduate studies at Dalhousie University, Dr. Petropolis had opportunities to work in various multidisciplinary clinics and was inspired by the effectiveness of chiropractic care and its role in a team approach that she furthered her education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic. At this time, she also completed the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program at McMaster University and received training in Mental Health First Aid. Dr. Petropolis has since taken additional courses in concussion management and is a certified Complete Concussion ManagementTM provider. Her chiropractic treatments can include spinal manipulation, neurofunctional acupuncture, soft tissue therapy, education, and rehabilitation. Dr. Petropolis is passionate about treating everybody for their healthcare needs. She has a special interest in concussions (new or persistent) as well as neck and upper back pain, headaches, and jaw issues. Dr. Petropolis believes that education, collaboration, and finding and easing barriers to movement is important for patient-centered care. She looks forward to helping people achieve their goals related to health, recovery, performance, and feeling their best!
