Dr. Melanie LeBlanc graduated from CMCC in 2018 after receiving a bachelor in Science in Kinesiology from UNB in 2014. She then moved across the country to BC and has been loving it since! She was very active when she was younger and unfortunately suffered a concussion from a skiing incident. There was such a limited amount of information about concussions at the time, and it's something she often thought about if her headaches or migraines were stemming from that or if the occasional lack of concentration in school was because due to it. There were so many questions that she's now happy to answer to her patients so they can better understand what is happening with their injuries.

Dr. Brittney Chisholm attended the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science: Life Science and Chemistry. During her degree she participated in an exchange program to the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia to study in a hands-on medical anatomy program. This experience instilled a passion for outdoor sports (surfing, rockclimbing, and diving) and furthered her interest in the human body and dysfunctional movement patterns. In 2013 Brittney graduated magna cum laude with Clinical Honors from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, ON. During her 12-month internship she worked with under priviledged individuals and seniors at the South Riverdale Community Centre and had the opportunity to serve as medical volunteer for the 2008 Ontario Summer Games and for the FIFA World Cup Canada vs. Panama game. Upon graduation she practiced at a family chiropractic clinic in North York and a multidisciplinary sports centre in downtown Toronto. Dr. Chisholm returned to Powell River to raise her son Jenson and give back to her community. Dr. Chisholm practices evidence-informed, conservative chiropractic care - that means research and clinical experience guide her treatment plans which are customized for the individual following a thorough history and physical exam. She uses a variety of techniques in her treatment plans: manual muscle release, trigger point therapy, spinal manipulation (Diversified technique, Thompson drop-piece technique, and the light-touch Activator technique) exercise & rehabilitation, graded mobilizations, fascial manipulation and stripping, biomechanical corrections, postural and nutritional advice, and education. After suffering 2 concussions within 18 months of one another and experiencing post-concussive syndrome, Dr. Chisholm was amazed to discover what a lack of knowledge and understanding there was of concussions and saddened by the lack of local resources. She was determined to provide better patient care for those suffering with concussive symptoms and joined the CCMI network in 2020.
