About Us
Tania Materne - formerly Barossa Physiotherapy opened in October 2025 after nearly 30 years as the previous business. We are situated in the beautiful wine region of the Barossa Valley in South Australia. Owner Tania Materne has decided to change direction this year and work as a Sole Trader to concentrate on clients, providing the same quality treatment without the stress of running a business. Her passion lies in Headaches and Concussion management and educating the community about the risks of concussion and the importance of early intervention. Tania became a Certified CCMI Clinician in 2023, only one of three Certified CCMI clinics in South Australia The team provide individual and club based Baseline Testing and Tania is available for individual Acute and Post-Concussion Rehabilitation. We work closely with the local Football Association providing Annual Baseline Testing.

    Tania graduated in 1987 from The Caledonian University (formerly The Queens College) in Glasgow UK. Returning home to Australia to work, she has worked in many areas of Physiotherapy, including Hand Therapy, Burns Recovery and Spinal Injury Rehabilitation. She travelled with the Australian Men's Wheelchair Basketball Team and the Australian Para Teams across the Globe as Physiotherapist and Classifier. Tania moved to the beautiful Barossa Valley in 1997 to run her own business and has recently had a focus on Headache Management and now Concussion Rehabilitation. This year Tania has moved away from Barossa Physiotherapy to start another business a a Sole trader to concentrate on her patients and concussion management rather than a large business.
